February Blahs
This winter seems to have been plagued by illness at least for me. I have battled colds, flus, and a bad back for the last 3 months and I must admit between that and the lack of sunshine at this time of year I have definitely been feeling kind of blah! I have managed to force myself to get out and do a few creative things the last few months. On a rainy day in January I did my first bus trip ever (and possibly my last as I'm not really a keep to a schedule kind of girl when taking pictures) to Niagara Falls. The rain was unfortunate since it was the last night of their light display. We were still lucky to get a few good shots. In February I was lucky enough to do a presentation on using creative flash to my local camera club. This made me get out of my comfort zone and do some more creative things than I normally get a chance to do with my little ones. It also made me do some public speaking which is always a little nerve wracking. This month I was also able to drive up to Limehouse conservation area (about an hour away) and went for a hike and took some pictures for a four season project I am working on...same scene in all 4 seasons. I only have spring and fall to get now. Amazing how a little fresh air and some sunshine can cheer you up...even when you are still in pain! Lol. Apparently pain can keep my from housework but not a good hike with friends! Lol. Now that February is coming to an end it is time to focus on a new project...EASTER! The backdrops are all here and now the job of setting up for 60+ kids is what will keep me busy for the next few weeks. I love my Canadian winters, but I am looking forward to Spring! Stay tuned for next month and lots of adorable kid pictures.
